Maja Duncan, RMT, CSCS
Registered massage therapist, Certified Strength and Condition Coach.
I have been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since graduating from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2016, but in a way I started my journey many years prior.
As a competitive horse back rider I was taught by my coaches to use massage daily with the horses I trained. I saw how much the horses benefited from massage and it showed in their performance competitively and in recreation. Although I didn’t realize this at the time, I was on the road to becoming a hands on therapist.
Today I work with humans and utilize my knowledge of therapeutic and relaxation massage to restore the body so it can function optimally. I also draw on my education as a Certified Strength and Condition Coach (CSCS) to complement my approach to treatment.
In practice I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from sport related injuries, to postural related issues. I use a combination of treatment approaches that include soft tissue therapy, joint mobilizations, movement/neuromuscular re-education, and patient education.
I am passionate about continuously improving my knowledge of the body in an effort to better help you, and you can expect me to take a dedicated approach with a positive attitude while I assist you with your short term and long term goals.
When I’m not working you can find me mountain biking, aerial acrobatics training, skiing, and walking my dog.
